New Website

I have finally decided to change my website to a more gallery style so am in the process of loading all the info in. What a long job.... can't wait to get back out to my studio and make something for some relief. My admiration to all artists before me who have made the decision to make art their business, there are so many things to do to get it up and running and only one person to do it all. I am working through my new artist statement and while I am redefining my site I am finding it is helping me redefine my work. I always have so many ideas and tangents running loose in my mind that sometimes I really need to slow down and find a better focus. While the changes I am making are taking me out of the studio, I think in the long run it will help me better know where I am going with my work.

It is a good time anyway, the 5 kids are home on school holidays so I can tap away at the computer. I don't mind them in my studio most of the time, but I can't really get right into it with them around if my husband isn't home. The other day I was trying to finish a couple of things and had to stop every 2 minutes to help the triplets make lions, monkey and giraffes. We know have a family of small lions, complete with fabulous smiles and scruffy manes fresh out of the kiln ready to glaze! Soon they will be adorning my house and I will find lions in every room and under every chair and sofa.......one of the joys that children bring into your life! Oh, the monkeys and giraffes will be following them soon when my next kiln full is ready for firing!
